At Ignatiuz, we believe that a resume tells us where you’ve been, but a Hackathon tells us where you can go.
This past Saturday, we traded traditional interview rooms for a high-energy “war room” environment. We hosted a Business Analyst Hackathon, not just as an event, but as a strategic initiative to find the sharpest analytical minds in the industry.

Why a Hackathon for Business Analysts?

The role of a BA is often misunderstood as just “gathering requirements.” In reality, it’s about navigating ambiguity, managing stakeholders, and deconstructing complex logic under pressure.
We realized that a 30-minute conversation couldn’t truly capture those skills. So, we invited a pool of talented candidates to spend their Saturday with us, tackling a real-world business case in real-time.

The Challenge: From Complexity to Clarity

We didn’t give them “textbook” problems. We gave them the kind of messy, multi-layered challenges our team solves every day. The participants were evaluated on:

A Leader’s Perspective: The Power of the Team

One of my proudest moments of the day wasn’t just seeing the candidates’ work—it was watching the Ignatiuz team in action. My teammates showed up on a Saturday with infectious energy, acting as mentors, evaluators, and cultural ambassadors.
As a leader, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your team take full ownership of a hiring initiative and execute it with such excellence. Their dedication is the reason we can attract the top 1% of talent.

The Big Result

The level of talent in the room was exceptional, making our final decision incredibly difficult. However, one individual truly embodied the high-performance behaviors we value at Ignatiuz.
I am thrilled to share that we have successfully hired a standout performer from the hackathon to join our BA team Meghal Paliwal!

The Takeaway

Traditional hiring is evolving. By creating an environment where candidates can actually show us their brilliance, rather than just tell us about it, we ensure that we are building a team that is ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
To our participants, our organizers, and our newest team member: Thank you for making this Saturday a landmark win for Ignatiuz.
